Our economic practice cooperates with the leading experts and research centers in the field of competition policy in Russia and internationally. Expert economic evidence (including that supported by consumers surveys) is used to validate and strengthen our clients’ position in courts and in the context of antitrust investigations. Our role is to make sure that experts clearly understand the matter at hand and their tasks, to check the completeness and accuracy of their analysis and explain the results and underlying methodology to our clients.

Also, our specialists are engaged in antitrust cases as independent experts within expert groups.

Our experience in this area includes the following projects:

• Assistance in the course of market analysis and evaluation of pricing strategies prepared by experts for presenting to the FAS of Russia in the context of antitrust investigation initiated by the FAS of Russia in the hot-rolled steel market
• Communication with experts on the assessment of damages incurred by Tinkoff Bank, the passing-on defense and the expert examination of the economic evidence prepared and presented in court by the opponents in the damage recovery cases against mobile operators
• Organization of a consumer survey and assistance in the course of market analysis, market power analysis and evaluation of price levels prepared by experts for presenting in court in the damage recovery cases against mobile operators
