Antitrust Advisory’s associate Anna Zabolotnykh spoke at the conference arranged by Pravo.ru “Competition Law: Aiming for the Next Level”

On 17 June 2021, the annual antitrust conference titled “Competition Law: Aiming for the Next Level” was held by Pravo.ru with the support of the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service. The speakers discussed the most vital competition topics, including price regulation, competition regulation of digital platform-based ecosystems, guidance on competition issues provided by the new Supreme Court’s clarifications, national and cross-border cartels.

Antitrust Advisory’s associate Anna Zabolotnykh participated in the session titled National Cartel Cases and Cross-Border Cartels and delivered a report on Approaches Developed by the Eurasian Economic Commission (‘EEC’) to Vertical Restraints in the Context of the Russian Practice. Anna emphasized the leading role played by the EEC in conduction of the study on companies’ operations related to the allocation of distributors to certain countries of the Eurasian Economic Union; the position of the EEC and the approach of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union to the distinction between vertical agreements and anticompetitive coordination.
