Anastasia Shastitko joined the firm as an economist in 2019 Her area of expertise encompasses competition policy economics and quantitative data analysis. In 2018–2019, Anastasia completed an internship with Charles River Associates in London, a leading international economic consulting firm. Prior to entering the consulting sector, she worked as part of the expert group of the Chair of Competition and Industrial Policy at the Faculty of Economics, Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Within the Antitrust Advisory team, Anastasia conducts market analyses, develops and substantiates business models, designs trading and commercial policies, and assesses antitrust risks, including through quantitative data analysis. She provides support to clients in their interactions with independent experts, participates in the preparation of expert opinions as part of expert panels, and may act as an independent expert herself.

Anastasia actively contributes to academic discussions on competition policy issues. She is the author of over fifteen scholarly publications in Russian and international journals and is a regular speaker at international conferences on competition and economic regulation.

Professional experience includes

Development of trading and commercial policies — including subsequent coordination with the competition authority — for FMCG companies such as M.Video, Nestlé (Russia and Kazakhstan), Cherkizovo, and for industrial companies such as Vyksa Steel Works JSC, KazMunayGas JSC, and PETROSUN LLP.

Economic analysis for merger clearance proceedings — including the merger of food delivery services Yandex.Eda and Delivery Club, the merger of petrochemical companies Sibur and TAIF, and the clearance of joint venture agreements between Philip Morris and the Korean tobacco company KT&G in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

Advising industrial enterprises including NLMK and Vyksa Steel Works JSC, manufacturer of solid-rolled wheels, in antitrust investigations concerning the establishment of monopolistically high prices.
