Antitrust Advisory together with Erlicon CG, a Kazakhstani consulting company, developed antitrust compliance for two major oil companies of the Republic of Kazakhstan: NC KazMunaiGas JSC and PETROSUN LLP. The development of antitrust compliance was motivated by the Rules on Equal Access to Key Capacity in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which entered into force in September 2022, and the emergence in August 2023 of the specifics of providing equal access to key capacity in the markets for primary wholesale sales of certain types of petroleum products.
A key feature of the developed antitrust compliance policies was that they also included detailed trade and sales policies, which was the first experience of its kind in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Antitrust Advisory's legal and economic practices worked together on the project. Partner Alexander Egorushkin and Head of the Economics Practice Anastasia Shastitko led the work.
